Dear Lions Ohana, Today marked a major shift in the State of Hawaii’s response to COVID-19. As you may have heard, we have extended spring break until March 30th as of last week. Today the state of Hawaii is canceling school until April 7th. In the meantime we are asking that all students, parents, staff, and community members stay off campus. You may see some essential workers returning prior to the April 7th date, however, these workers will be busy ensuring a safe for the return for your students. Many meetings and events will have to be rescheduled and/or canceled. We ask you for your patience and understanding in this difficult time. We also ask that you check the DOE’s website, www.hawaiipublicschools.org and our school’s website www.kwes.k12.hi.us for information about all of our events that have been changed and/or canceled. The school’s office will be closed until April 3rd at the earliest, therefore, please direct all other inquires to my email Daniel_larkin@kwes.k12.hi.us and I will try to respond as soon as possible. I will be holding a public web meeting in the near future as well and will announce that information once I am ready. I hope all of you stay safe in this unsure time and if anyone of you needs anything please let me know and I will do what I can to help. Please stay tuned to local information sources and if you know of someone who does NOT receive this information who should, please send me an email for them with their contact information and student name so we can fix their information in our system. Stay strong Lions. Remember. We are the Lions. We are the Future! Aloha,
